The Wilderness Systems Ride 135 kayak is a premium sit on top (SOT) kayak form Wilderness Systems. The Ride 135′s pontoon style hull brings a whole new level of stability to sit on top kayaking. With great features like an extended capacity and extra wide kayak seat, the Wilderness Systems Ride 135 kayak is perfect for scuba divers, fisherman, and paddlers of all sizes.
Pros
The Wilderness Systems Ride 135 kayak is one of the most stable sit on top (SOT) kayaks on the market today. The Ride 135 kayak also features 3 hatches throughout the hull providing more than ample storage. The recessed storage area is perfect for hauling your tackle box or diving equipment, and the high 400 lbs capacity ensures you’ll never need more space on the Wilderness Systems Ride 135 kayak.
Cons
Although the Wilderness Systems Ride 135 kayak is very stable for being a sit on top kayak, it still lacks the overall stability to be a viable fishing or diving solution. When hanging your legs over the side, the Wilderness Systems Ride 135 kayak feels a little tippy. Most paddlers will get used to the individual feel of their kayak. However a larger, wider, sit on top would serve a scuba diving or fishing kayaker much better.
Overall Review
I would rate my review of the Wilderness Systems Ride 135 kayak as 4 out of 5. I was very impressed by the high capacity and the stability of this sit on top kayak. Inch for inch, the Wilderness Systems Ride 135 kayak is one of the most stable sit on tops I’ve ever had the chance to review. If the Ride 135 was only 2 inches wider, it would probably have the stability to warrant a perfect review.
