Note: Old Town isn’t offering the Otca 17 for the 2010 season.
Short for Old Town Canoe “A” model, this is a classic wood canoe design from the turn of the century. It is available with green, blue, red, or white canvas, or clear fiberglass.
If you want durability and class, the Otca 17 is the canoe for you. At least one known to have been built in the 1920s is still in use today, though it does require some TLC at its age. This canoe tracks well enough to forgive its hefty 80 pounds, and it can handle open water from lake to ocean. More work than a Royalex® or tri-poly boat, owners insist the elegance and comfort are worth it.
