The Pelican Bayou 160 canoe features the most carrying capacity of any Pelican canoes, featuring a built-in motor on transom, a whopping 53 cubic feet of onboard storage space, and a durable tri-keeled hull. The Bayou 160 also features outfitting for fishing such as fishing rod holders and water bottle holders. The Pelican Bayou 160 canoe also features aluminum gunnels and three molded bench seats for plenty of seating options or room for your cooler. Though the motor makes the Bayou 160 not quite a canoe, you can still paddle it very effectively.
Overall Review
While the Bayou 160 is the priciest of all Pelican canoes, it also is the most feature-rich as well. The motor really helps assist you when cruising around with a ton of cargo. The ability to maneuver heavy loads with great ease makes this is the ideal camping canoe or great for the intended use; a supply transport canoe in swampland and marshes.
However, all these great features make the Pelican Bayou 160 canoe a little heavy for one person to move around on land, so its best when moved by two people or left in the water at the dock or on shore. But once you’re out on the water, the Bayou 160 makes an excellent fishing canoe allowing you to navigate into the tightest areas where the big fish hide.
I would rate my overall review of the Pelican Bayou 160 canoe as 4 out of 5 stars. I really like all the extra features and the motor assisted design. I think that this would be the perfect transport canoe for anyone who needs to get goods or supplies across a swampy area. The Bayou 160 also makes an excellent fishing canoe as well. If it were just a little bit lighter, this canoe would easily have received a 5 star rating.

I really like the optional motor! It adds a dertain amount of flexability to the canoe. It really works well in river and streams.
