The lightest of Pelican’s modified “V” hull line, the Scorpio also has the greatest capacity. It features a built-in motor mount, two vertical rod holders, oarlock receptacles, cleats, and bottle holders. The hull, made of patented RAM-X material, comes in white.
Although the weight and capacity make it attractive, the Scorpio is missing some of the features—like electrical outlets and raised seating—that are standard on the Predator 103 and Predator DLX. Riding in choppy water can get you wet, and it’s more suitable for one than two. Adding the optional clamp-on wheels makes it easier to move and load, and the motor gets several hours of run time per gallon of gas. For the price, this is a good starter boat if you’re just looking to hit the water but want to upgrade at some point.
