Bass Pro Shops Hiker/Biker I Tent Review

Hiker/Biker I Tent ReviewThe Bass Pro Shops Hiker/Biker I Tent is a backpack tent suitable for biking, hiking, canoeing, and kayaking. The Hiker/Biker I Tent is portable and lightweight, making it perfect for when every ounce counts. With an extra large screen door for maximum ventilation, the Hiker/Biker I features Bass Pro Shop’s basic fiberglass A-frame, and 190T polyester taffeta walls, roof, and floor. The Hiker/Biker I also sports a 1200mm PU coating for increased waterproof characteristics.

Designed for maximum portability, the Hiker/Biker I Tent features highly reflective guy ropes, allowing you to move or reposition your tent at night in minimal lighting conditions. At only 2.84 lbs, the Bass Pro Shops Hiker/Biker I Tent includes seven steel tent stakes and a drawstring carrying bag with cordlock closure. The Hiker/Biker I Tent measures 82” long, 48”W x 36”H in the front and 37”W x 24”H in the rear.

My overall review of the Bass Pro Shops Hiker/Biker I Tent is 3 out of 5. I really enjoyed the light weight of this backpack tent, but it is a little flimsy in the wind. The size is right, providing ample room for active sleepers and a convenient mesh gear pouch. Another great advantage for kayakers or canoers is the small packing size of this tent, as it will fit nicely into most hatches or right behind the kayak seat. If the frame was a little sturdier, I would rate the Hiker/Biker I much higher, so if wind and adverse weather are not an issue, you can’t go wrong with this tent.
