The Black Diamond VaporLock carabiner is a great mid-priced carabiner that performs well beyond its class. Though advertised as mainly a rappelling carabiner, I found during my review that the VaporLock allows you to open it quickly, yet securely locks tight when it needs to bear a load. This makes the Black Diamond VaporLock much more versatile than advertised, and it’s truly a fantastic multi-purpose carabiner.
