Pros

The Wilderness Systems Pungo 120 Ultralite kayak is truly a unique kayak to paddle. This kayak seems to glide through the water with little or no resistance at all. Although the Pungo 120 Ultralite is too long to be a viable playboat, it was easy enough to maneuver that pulling off the same stunts was pretty simple. I especially enjoyed the Pungo 120 Ultralite kayak’s quick recovery speed when testing out its rolling capabilities.

Cons

I found that the Wilderness Systems Pungo 120 Ultralite kayak didn’t handle larger waves as well as I had hoped. Though the lightweight design of the Pungo 120 Ultralite comes in handy while playing about or paddling in your local flat water, it leaves the kayak vulnerable when you are expecting two or three foot swells.

Overall Review

I would rate my review of the Wilderness Systems Pungo 120 Ultralite kayak as 4 out of 5. I really enjoyed the light weight of this kayak while playing in “recreational” conditions, but I found it lacked a bit when the waves get rough. Obviously, there are much better choices for a touring kayak; but if you are looking for a fun and easy to transport recreational kayak, then the Wilderness Systems Pungo 120 Ultralite kayak might be right for you.
