The Frabill Thermal Predator SideStep Ice Shelter is part of the flagship line of Predator series ice shelters. This particular model combines two of Frabill’s latest technologies to create one of the most advanced portable ice shelters that money can buy. Below you will find a brief overview of this ice shelter along with a review from a real weekend out on the Massachusetts ice.
To start things off, the Frabill Thermal Predator SideStep Ice Shelter is built with the “Thermal” technology which makes it suitable for extreme temperatures that other ice shelters simply can’t handle. The patented modular seating that makes up the SideStep system allows for up to 3 anglers ice fishing at the same time with plenty of room left over for all the extra gear you brought along. When fully setup, the Frabill Thermal Predator SideStep Ice Shelter measures roughly 95″L x 75″W x 75″H when completely deployed, and the aluminum frame is designed to stand up to the toughest winds and snow conditions while remaining light enough to transport without too much hassle. With the 4 removable windows and a zippered entry to lock out the cold, the Frabill Thermal Predator SideStep Ice Shelter is the perfect ice shelter for your next ice fishing excursion.

I would rate my overall review of the Frabill Thermal Predator SideStep Ice Shelter to be a perfect 5 out of 5 stars! This ice shelter will not disappoint, unless of course you are stunned by the nearly one thousand dollar price tag (it’s very expensive), but that didn’t effect my review because of the quality that you receive. The SideStep seating if a huge advance that all ice shelter could benefit from keeping a much more uncluttered fishing area while still giving everyone space to relax and enjoy the experience. I also like the “Thermal” addition to this particular model; it definitely ranks a bit higher to me than the Predator models that Frabill makes without it since the Massachusetts winters can get pretty harsh.. If you can afford the price tag and want something portable, the Frabill Thermal Predator SideStep Ice Shelter is one of the best decisions you can possibly make; and that’s why my review rating for this ice shelter is so high.
