Made for day tripping, the Old Town Adventure Kayak is stable and solid. It ought to be- at 12.5-13.9 feet long and between 50 to 56 lbs. (depending on which model you choose), this kayak means business.
The large cockpit grants easy entry and exit, and fits some users perfectly. Other users, however, have mentioned that the large cockpit is simply just too wide. Also note- this kayak tends to wander in windy conditions, and even tends to have a mind (and direction) of its own as soon as the paddling stops.
I give the Old Town Adventure Kayak a rating of 3. I really want to like it (it is so awesome and sleek looking!) and give it a higher rating, but with its tendency to wander, I simply cannot.
Uses: Day trips
Pros: Stable and solid; glides nicely
Cons: Cockpit may be too wide for some users; kayak tends to wander in slightly windy conditions; heavy
