Old Town Dirigo Angler Kayak Review

Serious anglers will dig the Old Town Dirigo Angler Kayak. The Dirigo Angler models include 2 behind the cockpit mount flush mount rod holders and a deck-mounted spinning rod holder (cool!)  The Dirigo Angler models are exceptionally built with three layer polyethylene (superior stiffness, low weight and built-in flotation at an affordable price). This kayak has it all- it is light and compact, leading to ease of maneuverability, easy handling and easy to store.

The Dirigo Angler includes Extrasport® XtraComfort™ seat with outboard 3-way adjustment, foot pegs and a padded thigh and knee area for superior comfort. The Space Hatch is easily reachable in the stern stowage area, a great place for large items. There is plenty of deck storage, glove box for wallet and keys, a paddle keeper and a deck bungee.

The Dirigo Angler family of kayaks comes in 2 colors, camo and yellow. Even though Old Town doesn’t offer this model in a pretty pink (for me), I still love it. This one gets a straight up 5- star rating- definitely.

Kick back, turn on some VanMorrison and use the dirigo angler. That’s the best.
