The Tripper 172 is 17 feet of stability in the wilderness. Its high-volume hull and deep-V entry are designed to take a heavy load smoothly through the water, while its shallow arch handles whitewater. Made of Royalex®, it has polyethylene decks with grab handles, blow-molded seats, black vinyl gunwales, and an ash carrying thwart and yoke.

For the canoeist who wants to do everything with one boat, consider the Tripper 172. Equally at home on lakes and whitewater, the Tripper can handle low Class IV conditions if you’re able to anticipate your strokes more than you would with a smaller, more maneuverable canoe. So it only comes in green. Versatility is this boat’s forte.

The Tripper is the best. Speed and intrigue merge to make this one the finest on the market. Yes, I was a little sketchy at first, but I think that it works very well now.
