The Wilderness Systems Pamlico 120 kayak is a great kayak for teenagers and smaller adults to enjoy in a recreational paddling environment. The Wilderness Systems Pamlico 120 kayak is very lightweight, making it a pleasure to paddle regardless of the weather conditions. With premium options like padded knee rests and the patented Slidelock footbrace system, the Wilderness Systems Pamlico 120 kayak is both a great value and a great kayak.
The Wilderness Systems Pamlico 120 kayak is everything a great recreational kayak should be. The stern hatch has plenty of space for storage, and the deck rigging allows for extended paddles. The Pamlico 120 kayak’s cockpit is surprisingly spacious, offering an enjoyable paddling experience to kayakers of all sizes and weights.
The Wilderness Systems Pamlico 120 kayak has very few shortcomings, but I think the bow should be just a little wider. The Pamlico 120 kayak handles swells up to 3 feet like a champ, but it doesn’t cut through larger waves the way I had hoped. If you plan on paddling larger lakes, rivers, or bays, the Systems Pamlico 120 kayak is sure to offer a bumpy ride.
I would rate my review of the Wilderness Systems Pamlico 120 kayak as 4 out of 5. While able to handle recreational paddling situations like a pro, the Wilderness Systems Pamlico 120 kayak fell short during my review when I tested it on rough waters. The amount of jarring is tolerable, but I think paddling should be smooth sailing.
